Nik Mucha is from Baltimore, Maryland and a junior in NYU Tisch Drama’s New Studio on Broadway. He has a wonderful chihuahua named Paco, who is one of his best friends. Nik found his passion for singing through performing in his first musical in seventh grade. He also likes to read, play video games, hang with his friends, and listen to music.

Olivia Hellman is a San Francisco native and a junior in NYU Tisch Drama’s New Studio on Broadway studying musical theatre. A classic Leo, Olivia has loved the spotlight from an early age, from her American Idol obsession at age 2 to performing in musicals since the age of 8. Olivia is also a singer-songwriter, who is working on releasing her own original music this year. You can stream her cover of Kate Bush’s “Babooshka” on all music platforms. She enjoys fashion, reading, listening to Taylor Swift on vinyl, and being the group’s designated Rachel Berry.

Claire is a sophomore from Laguna Beach, California, and is an avid defender that SoCal wins the “SoCal vs NorCal” debate. A Math and Music double major with a minor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies, Claire spends her limited free time rewatching Gilmore Girls and doing crossword puzzles (and managing the Mixtapes, obviously). Her favorite artists include Lawrence, Lizzy McAlpine, and Amy Winehouse. When she's not living in the 181 Mercer practice rooms, you can find her trying new coffee shops, exploring museums, or hugging dogs.

Connor Davis is a current sophomore at Steinhardt majoring in Music Technology. After joining the group his freshman year, Connor has found a second home with the Mixtapes. Connor has served as Assistant Music Director for the group for two semesters, and while he is currently on academic leave studying abroad at NYU Prague, he is thrilled to have the opportunity to mix/produce the album that the group is currently in the process of recording. Connor is excited to resume his official membership in the group this coming fall.

Evelyn in a Sophomore from NJ studying Politics, Government, and Performance (in Gallatin ofc) with a minor in French! Evelyn loves all music and has participated in plays and musicals for as long as she can remember. Being in chorus, women’s choir and performing in several theatre organizations all over her home state, it has become her greatest passion. She has been thrilled to be a part of such a talented group of students at her dream school. She’s singing abroad from NYU Paris this Semester (Spring 2023) and has missed New York (except the NYU Steinhardt acting lab) every day, and can’t wait to come home!

Ryan Colone, Secretary and Treasurer, is enjoying his second year as both an NYU Tisch Drama student in the Meisner Studio as well as a Tenor (and occasional chagrined Alto) in the Mixtapes. He hails from Massachusetts where he also sang a cappella, jazz, and classical choir for many years. His wonderful collaborators and the music they make bring him much joy.

Introducing Advait, a baritone/tenor from Singapore! Before starting at NYU, he served two years in the Singapore army. Though he’s studying biology at CAS, you’ll find him running (pun absolutely intended) from his problems with some Faouzia, Dua Lipa, or Coldplay! Starting with Indian Carnatic music at 4, he went on to learn musical theatre and pop as well. To annoy his family and friends even more, he grew up playing the piano (favourite composer Debussy!) and guitar. An avid coffee drinker and food lover, Advait’s always on the lookout for new places to eat or recipes to try!

Alex is a first-year tenor and vocal percussionist from Weston, Massachusetts. He’s studying film and television at Tisch, but he’ll get annoyed if you ask him his favorite movie. Alex is a classically trained vocalist who attended regional and national choirs in high school, and he spent most of the last four years as a musical theater nerd. Alex is a huge fan of anything Coldplay, Jacob Collier, or Oh Wonder, and he’s always ready to chat about Star Wars. When he’s not singing, he spends most of his time working on his photography, playing Magic: the Gathering, or contemplating the fact that we live in a simulation.

Anoushka is a soprano from San Jose, California. She’s majoring in economics and math, and she’s watched almost every show on the Food Network. In addition to singing with the Mixtapes, she enjoys playing the violin, learning Indian classical music, and baking. When she’s not pretending to be on Cupcake Wars, Anoushka can be found complaining about how cold it is, sending her roommates endless TikToks, or enjoying her daily slice at Joe’s Pizza.

Kaia was raised in Hawai’i on the island of Oahu. She has been singing since the age of three and songwriting since she was 12. She attended a performing arts high school and decided to continue to pursue her love of music at NYU Steinhardt to study songwriting and production. She primarily creates songs in the RnB and Pop genre, but enjoys singing all genres. A fun fact about Kaia is that she can also sing with her mouth closed!

Luke McCrory is a freshman from Concord, MA studying political science and likely journalism at NYU, and sings bass for the Mixtapes. He has fallen in love with singing, taking part in chorus, theatre, past a cappella groups, and barbershop singing. Chances are you’ll find him talking about politics, making internet references or begging people to sing a barbershop tag. In more attempts to be quirky, he also finds planes and aviation interesting and loves trivia/quiz bowl.

Neha is an awesome, amazing, alliteration-adoring alto from Acton, Massachusetts. She majors in biology on the pre-medical track. She’s been singing for too long and is unfortunately an unapologetic choir kid. She enjoys reading and going to Trader Joe’s. She loves David Bowie and Mick Ronson and will spend her life trying to prove her unfounded theory that they were in a relationship. When she is not trapped in lab, you will find her knitting, harassing her suite mates, or using her meal wipes to get a styrofoam cup’s worth of vanilla Diet Coke.

Nick is one of our Boston, MA tenors -- yes we have more than one of those. He is an acting student at Tisch's Experimental Theatre Wing. He was a part of FOUR choirs during his senior year of high school, being a member of an a cappella group all four years! (He likes bringing that up). He really likes movies, music, superheroes, and Star Wars. Most things that come out of his mouth can be found in movies, television shows, and Netflix comedy specials. He (despite popular belief) is NOT a theatre kid so DO NOT ask him what his favorite musical is. You can find him in the Kimmel dining hall during pretty much any lunch period, and if he's not there, he is at home replaying the PlayStation Spider-Man video games.

Sofia is a soprano originally from Acton, Massachusetts! She is a drama major at Tisch School of the Arts, studying at the lovely Meisner studio. Sofia has been performing since the age of 11, when she graced the stage as a fierce, terrifying little Cruella de Vil. Throughout middle & high school she continued to perform in musicals, cabarets, show choir, chamber choir, and madrigal singers. Her favorite music to listen to includes Big Thief, Fiona Apple, Joni Mitchell, Weyes Blood, etc! Sofia loves cats (shoutout Alley and Pierre (AKA fluffball), also shoutout Louie the dog), writing, and admiring/consuming well-crafted charcuterie.
